Greenwich Village has the oldest housing in Manhattan that people still live in as houses. Federal and Greek Revival rowhouses from the 1820s through the 1850s on Bank, Perry, Charles and West 11th Street, some still single-family, most cut into two or three apartments with a garden-level unit below the stoop.
